    The PrattPlus.com Tax Exemption Program allows customers to take advantage of approved tax exempt status when purchasing items on the PrattPlus.com website. To establish and maintain your tax exempt status, you must provide us with a valid tax exemption certificate for the state(s) where you are located, and update your certificate on a periodic basis in accordance with state laws and/or our Website General Terms and Conditions.


    Various state laws require that PrattPlus.com have a properly executed exemption certificate from all customers who claim an exemption from state sales taxes. If the exemption certificate is not properly provided or received, we are required by law to charge sales tax.

    To establish your tax exempt status you will need to complete a designated form for a sales tax exemption certificate and provide required supporting documentation. Please click here to download the Tax Exemption Form. Upon completion of the form, please scan and email the form to customercare@prattindustries.com or return via fax to 678-702-5800. You may also mail the tax exemption request form to:

    Once we have received the properly completed tax exemption request and it has been confirmed with any necessary documentation, we will promptly update your account to reflect Tax Exempt Status. To apply your tax exemption to your orders you must also be a registered My Pratt customer. You may register for a My Pratt account at any time at PrattPlus.com. There is no charge or fee to register for a My Pratt account. You will find the My Pratt link in the upper right corner of every page within the website. To create a My Pratt account please follow the instructions to “Create New Account”.

    If you prefer, you may call our Customer Experience Specialists from 8:00am – 6:00pm EST, Monday – Friday by dialing 855-MY-PRATT (1-855-697-7288). Our trained professionals will be happy to assist in the creation of a new My Pratt account for you.


    Once you have submitted the form for a tax exemption certificate a Customer Experience Specialist will process your request. Please allow 1 – 5 business days for processing your tax exemption paperwork once it is received. Upon approving your request, you will receive an email notification confirming that future purchases will be processed as tax exempt using your registered My Pratt profile.

    You may also view the status of your tax exemption request by logging into your My Pratt account.


    Tax exempt forms must include a physical signature and we are unable to accept sales tax exemption certificates without such a signature. If for any reason the Customer Experience Specialist is unable to complete your request, you will be notified via e-mail within 10 business days of receipt of your tax exempt request submission.

    In order to comply with state and local tax laws, we require you to submit the specific exemption documents for each applicable state when claiming sales tax exemption. For information on tax rules, laws and regulations in your state or states where you do business, please contact the applicable Department of Revenue or state taxation office in your state.

    Your exemption will remain active until the expiration of your tax exemption certificate. To retain your tax exempt status on your My Pratt account, you must submit an updated exemption certificate before the expiration of the then current certificate. Applicable expiration dates are stored within your My Pratt customer profile. Prior to the expiration of your current tax exemption certificate, we may notify you via email to update our records. However, this is a customer service feature we extend to our customers and we take no responsibility for maintaining your tax exempt status or providing such notification. You are solely responsible for applying for and maintaining your tax exempt status.
